Romantic Day

Awww, my Dad and Jo took the kids overnight! ahhhh peace and quiet time with my hubs. There's a photography contest going on through a trail program out city puts on every year. You have take the picutres along the River Ridge trails that run through and around the city. So, Dan and I set out to find some great pictures along the trail to send into the contest. We use to do this sort of thing all the time when we were dating and I really miss doing things like this. It would bore my kids to tears though I think and besides that they would be running through the trails screaming and scaring all the wildlife away.
We found a rock quarry on one of the trails, just gorgeous! It's amazing to me that we have lived here 7 years and didn't even know this was in the area. Talk about the need to slow down and look around you! I guess that would be me.
It was so romantic to walk around the woods along stream and rapids and crossing beautiful wooden bridges in the woods holding my hubby's hand. I knew I loved this man with every fiber of being, but it's just easier to live it when the kids aren't pulling us in seperate directions all the time. Sometimes you just need some along time and not be a parent but a man and women who are very much in love. I really miss that sometimes. Not that I am wishing my time away with my kids by any means, BUT I am looking forward to spending time with my hubby again just him and I, a lot more often than we get to now with our little kids . We have so much in common that we don't have that strained silence when our kids are gone, it's actually quite the opposit. Ok, enough mush for now!

Ok, I need some opinions ladies .. but you might actually have to LEAVE A COMMENT to do this though ! ahaha I can only submit 2 photos .. so come on and tell me what you think!
